The idea for Occam’s Razor

Occam’s Razor was first conceived in 2009 when two students realized there was no medium available for WWU undergraduates to publish their academic work.

OR founder Chris Crow had produced a publication worthy paper and was disappointed by the absence of scholarly work being shared with a broader campus audience. From this general concern arose the stark realization that the issue extended to all undergraduates; how could one use their class work to further discussions of academia within the greater WWU community? How could one stand out from other graduates in their field? What does one do with an exceptional paper and countless hours of research after the grades are posted?

The answer was simple: Occam’s Razor.
